A Gal's Two Favorite Words in One Sentence! FREE MAKEUP!

Apparently, the big department-store cosmetics makers were sued a few years ago for conspiring to inflate prices on their products (i.e. $50 mascara, $130 foundation, $80 lipstic, etc.) The make-up makers settled the cosmetic case (heh-heh...get it?) and that means freebies for you and me, while they last.

Here's what you have to do to get the goods. Go to any area Dillards, Macy's, Clinique and/or Estee Lauder and tell them you are there to claim your free make up from the settlement. You will have to sign a form affirming that you did, indeed, purchase stuff from them at least once between 1994-2004. This is on the honor system. You will not need to present a reciept or proof of purchase.

HURRY! You have to claim your stuff by next Tuesday 1/27, BUT the freebies are only good while supplies last, which may not be much longer.

Great Food for a Great Cause

Just before Christmas, Tom Myers, a member of the praise band at Cornerstone Christian Church in Mocksville, died suddenly from a massive stroke. Now, you hace a chance to help out his wife and 2 kids and enjoy some AWESOME food!

The Cornerstone Christian Men's group is cooking up the best ribs and chicken you ever tasted! Chicken plates are $8.00. Rib plates are $9.00 and whole rack or ribs is $12.00 and combo plates are $15.00. The plates include a choice of sides and desert.

Will My Church be Sued by the NFL if We Have A Superbowl Party?

YES...your church CAN legally have a Super Bowl Party! And you can show the game on a big screen. Thanks to Attorney John Whitehead from The Rutherford Institute for being a guest on the Morning Show and giving us all of the details. Here's a summary of what he said:

-Churches can legally host superbowl parties on their premisis
-Churches may show the game on whatever size screen they want
-Churches may NOT charge admission, however they may take up a donation to help with the cost of the event, if desired.
-The term Superbowl is copyrighted by the NFL, so to be on the safe side, churches may want to call the event a "Big Game Party" or something similar.

For more info about the Rutherford Institute, visit:
http://www.rutherford.org/

"Founded in 1982 by constitutional attorney and author John W. Whitehead, The Rutherford Institute is a civil liberties organization that provides free legal services to people whose constitutional and human rights have been threatened or violated.
