Morning Show Wrap Up 8/27--Kisses for Kate/Insurance Planning/Whoopie Pie

Kisses for Kate:

In August 2008, three-year old Kate Thornton was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.

Shortly after Kate’s leukemia diagnosis, loving friends and family recognized that the Thornton family was in need of a larger home. The family of 7 shares a 3-bedroom, 1200-square foot house. Kate does not have a bedroom of her own to come home to and recuperate from treatments. When home, she sleeps on the couch. In addition, the home was not easily accessible for Kate with her adaptive equipment.

On August 23, 2010, The Thornton family received the devastating news that Kate is in need of hospice care. There is no more treatment that the doctors believe will save Kate’s life. It is time to take her home and keep her comfortable. After two years of fighting, the family must change their course to cherishing these last weeks with their precious daughter/sister. We are acting in faith, knowing that what God called us to do, obtain a home for this family, will be completed. PLEASE help us give this family a new home… Kate is running out of time.
