The American Academy of Pediatrics has changed their car seat safety guidelines. A couple of the changes include keeping babies in rear-facing seats until they turn two, and keeping older kids in booster seats until their height reaches 4'9" (in which case, my almost 50 year old sister-in-law would still be in a booster seat).
